Instructor Development Course
The PADI Instructor Development Course is designed to prepare PADI Divemasters, instructors and divers with a “leadership” certification from other training organizations for the PADI Instructor Examination.
PADI is the world's largest diver training organization and offers the best Instructor training programs available. The PADI IDC provides a professional learning experience in which you will learn how to teach diving, utilising the most successful program in existence - the PADI system of diver education. When you complete the PADI IDC, you will have been trained and prepared to attend a PADI Instructor Examination (IE), the final step towards your PADI Open Water Scuba Instructor certification.
The PADI Instructor Training contains 3 segments, which also can be completed in one go (IDC): |

Instructor Development Course (IDC)
The PADI Instructor Development Course (IDC) is the heart of the PADI Instructor-training. The IDC can be done in two steps (AI course & OWSI program) or be completed in one go (IDC).
During the IDC you will be trained how to use the PADI system in confined water (pool), open water and in the class room.
The IDC attaches great interest to total development. Learning from mistakes is part of the development process. Although there are clearly defined performance requirements for the successful pass there are no time limits.
Under the guidance of our Course Director you can progress your training step by step. The main objective is to do the IDC in a stress free and relaxed atmosphere and surroundings. This makes our IDC to a challenging and enjoyable learning experience. The final assessment of your knowledge and skills will be done later on during the PADI Instructor Examination (IE).
Our IDC is scheduled in a way that there will be a day off in between. On this day off the participants have the chance to become Emergency First Response Instructor (EFRI).
Instructor Development Courses & Instructor Examination (IDC& IE) take place in February, April/ May, September and November at Happy Divers & IDC College`s premises. |
