NITROX FOR FREE has been the topic of the year at Happy Divers & the IDC College. 80% of all our tank fills are now NITROX fills and most dives are done with NITROX 32. All our staff members are diving with NITROX, and as a result more and more divers are following this trend and signing up for PADI Enriched Air Diving Course. Accordingly we have reduced the number of air tanks filled to promote the use of NITROX. The availability of NITROX is guaranteed by the first ever built L&W NITROX Mixmaster, a membrane compressor which fills 450 l/min.
Every diver who takes the "PADI Enriched Air Diver" specialty course with Happy Divers & the IDC College or has this PADI certification already can get NITROX 32 without any extra charge.

A good rule of thumb when looking for prolific marine life is to go where the currents are. The Straits of Gibraltar certainly qualify on that score. At Los Bolos (³because you need the balls to dive it²) the current slackens off a bit at high water, and I haul my way down the anchorline to gain a little shelter from the reef. Canyons and crevasses separate huge blocks of rock standing 10m high from the 32m seabed. Broad splurges of purple, yellow and orange are gorgonians, gorgonians and cup corals respectively.

To fly like in space without any effort through the underwater landscape, with or into the current, all that is possible using a Scooter. It is also a lot of fun to fly in the three dimensions of the water. Loops, left, right, up and down - all not a problem. How to use a Scooter safely and how to plan Scooter dives you can learn with Happy Divers from now on with the appropriate PADI Specialty course.
Divers having the DPV specialty already can also rent a Scooter.

For those who want to see more than the superb dive sites on the Costa del Sol and in the Gibraltar area there is now a Happy alternative. Day excursions with 2 dives to the dive sites in Gibraltar and Tarifa area. These trips will be organized on request or every week.
The dive sites in Gibraltar are well known for its many wrecks. Tarifa is known for its crystal clear waters and its nice wall dives.

As a PADI Gold Palm 5* IDC Resort, PADI IE location & the first ever NATIONAL GEOGRPAHIC center in Spain, Happy Divers Marbella & IDC College accomplished in its four PADI 5* IDC years in total 9 IDC & IE. During the 9 days of the Instructor Development Course (IDC) a total of 81 instructor candidates studied the "secrets" of the PADI teaching system in a relaxed and international atmosphere. The participants came from different countries and all IDC were held in the 3 languages German, Spanish and English.

Diving Costa del Sol - cooperation between 3 PADI 5* IDC centers
With effect of January 2005, the 3 dive centers Happy Divers Gibraltar, Happy Divers Marbella and the IDC College Costa del Sol have agreed to merge operations under the name "Diving Costa del Sol" and pool all their resources and operations under one name.
